User Rights works to protect fundamental rights on social media. When content is blocked without justification, or when illegal content is not taken down, we help people enforce those rights. As Germany's first independent dispute settlement body for social media platforms, we help shape the legal framework of the digital space, and with it the protection of fundamental rights and democracy online.

We need a cover letter and your full CV as a PDF. If we need anything else, it will either be stated in the job description or we will get in touch with you.
Once your application reaches us, we review your documents carefully. If we would like to take it a step further, we invite you to a first conversation, either by video call or at our Berlin office. After that you meet your potential manager and, where relevant, members of the team, and go into the substance of the role in more depth. If we convince each other, you receive your employment contract and we look forward to welcoming you to the team.

We get back to you as quickly as we can, usually within a few days. Sometimes it takes a little longer, but you will always receive an answer.
If you live outside Berlin and it makes sense for us to meet you in person, we reimburse your rail travel (second class).
We offer a hybrid model with flexible hours and the option to work from home regularly. A close-knit team culture matters to us, so we prefer 2 to 3 days per week in the office. For selected roles, fully remote work is possible. You can also work from elsewhere in the EU for up to 30 consecutive days.
